New Morning
Line-up Plan Reminder:
Due to safety concerns
during morning drop-off in front of the MPR, we are changing our before school
procedures for lining up. As stated previously, no drop-offs are allowed in
front of the MPR or St. James Court. All students being dropped off should use
the VALET IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL. This has been an ongoing issue that hopefully
will be resolved with your help. Students will enter the front of the school
after exiting the valet line. From there, they are allowed to line up in the
quad or go through the school to the playground. This is the same for both early
& late drop-off and parents may walk into the quad if they
like.
ALL
STUDENTS SHOULD ENTER SCHOOL THROUGH THE FRONT GATES REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY GET
TO SCHOOL. All back gates will be locked starting November 7th. The
same process will be used after school for both early & late pickup. All
students will exit the school through the front gates.
We truly appreciate
your help in this SAFETY issue. Please help us by modeling the importance of
following the guidelines set up to ensure our students and your child's safety.
This process was demonstrated for students this morning during flag salute.
Grades 1-3 will line up in the quad; grades 4-5 will line up under the shade
structure by BIG Toy.
Valet Safety Reminders:
Parent
Tips
Enter
valet area slowly & attentively. Pull close
to the curb so valet volunteer doesn’t need to step into
street. Make sure kids can exit your vehicle safely
by having vehicle interior accessible & clear.
Student
Tips Must exit on right side of vehicle. Kids should be
ready to exit with all belongings in hand ready to go.
Thank you, Tom Ladouceur,
Principal
Classroom
Visitor Procedures
To ensure the safety
of our students and staff and to prevent undue interruption of instruction,
all visitors to the campus must follow the procedures below:
Classroom Observations
- Approval of a site
administrator or designee must be obtained at least 36 hours before
observing a class.
- Frequency of observations
will be reasonable so as not to disrupt classroom instruction. Frequency
may be limited at the principal's discretion.
- All visitors must
check in at the office and wear a visitor's badge before proceeding
to the classroom.
- At the discretion
of the principal or designee, a school or district employee may accompany
the visitor.
- Observations are
limited to no more than 30 minutes. (exceptions may be made at the principal's
discretion)
- While in the classroom:
- Observe quietly…avoid
talking to students.
- Do not move
about the classroom, as this is distracting to the students and
teacher
- Interact with
the students only if the teacher has agreed to such contact before
the observation.
- If more than
one person is observing at a time, please avoid conversation until
outside the classroom
- The observation
is not to be used as an opportunity to conference with the teacher.
If the visitor desires discussion with the teacher on the day of
the observation, a conference appointment must be prearranged with
the teacher before the observation date
- Students' rights
of confidentiality must be observed.
If observation becomes
a disruption to classroom instruction, the visitor will be asked to
leave. Visitation rights may be limited if the observation becomes a
disruption to the students and/or the teachers.

The EAGLE Fund presents the annual Innisbrook Gift Wrap
Fundraiser! This is Greenbrook's biggest fall fundraiser and our school
needs your support. The sale will start Friday, September 5th, and will
end on Friday, September 19th. Sale packets will be sent home with your
child at the start of the sale. Greenbrook receives 50% profit
on all catalog sales! The money we raise will fund many programs at
Greenbrook such as teacher aides, more library hours, and
music, to name just a few.
Innisbrook has been partnering with schools and organizations
for over 26 years. It is their sincere desire to partner with
schools to help maximize their efforts and to make fundrasing easy for
volunteers and fun for families. Placing an order has never been
easier. Parents, grandparents, aunts and friends can order online while
still giving credit to Greenbrook. No order forms or tallying to be
completed. Visit www.innisbrook.com and enter in
our school code #103794

Earn Money for Greenbrook with SCRIP
What is SCRIP? SCRIP is simply another name for "gift cards". The program works by parents, friends and relatives purchasing gift card scrip through Greenbrook School without spending a penny more than they would normally.
How is SCRIP Used? SCRIP is used just like cash. This means that you just present your certificate or gift card for payent at the register without any restrictions. And, it makes a great gift.
How does Greenbrook school benefit? Great Lakes SCRIP Center purchases the SCRIP from merchants in large quantitiies and at a discount. Great Lakes SCRIP Center then makes these gift certificates available to nonprofit organizations also at a discounted rate. Greenbrook School then sells these same gift certificates to its families and members at face value. The difference between the discount rate and face value is our weekly profit. The result? Greenbrook School profits each and every week.
